Can Canon Utilities CameraWindow be used with the ELPH 360 HS camera?

A
Answer by Alex Urbach

I've checked the official website and the software only works with certain cameras as shown in the image below:

Even if you manage to install the software, it won't detect the device you're having. You can install Digital Camera Software for your device.

Yes it can be used because the software is actually supported by this device and can be downloaded from the official page of the device.

The software is found under Drivers and Software > Windows > Windows XP/ Windows 7 or Windows 8.

Camera Window works pretty well with 5D, but no way to get it run with Mark II. Getting message that says that Camera is already used by a different application. I also need to change attributes in camera with this method of CCW.

Question 1: Where do I get an update for Windows XP Professional? (currently using CCW DC-DV 5 Version 5.4.4, CCW DSLR 5 Version 5.3.1; CCW MC 5 Version 5.4.3.)

Question 2: Is there anyone who has it running?

Answer by Julia Bocchetta

You will have to use the new version of the software for the application to recognize your other camera. The download can be obtained from the official website of the application. Download and install the software, then you should be able to get it to run with Mark II.

I recently wiped my computer and reinstalled all my programs, but the camera window will not open. I've tried to uninstall the program and reinstall it and it still won't open. There is an icon for it and the option shows up when I plug my camera in, but it won't actually open. I really liked this program and really want it back. Can you help me fix this?

If you wiped and reinstalled your computer, all your drivers were uninstalled also. To use your webcam on the computer, you first need to install its driver. You can find it on the disc that came with the device. If you don't have the disc, you can visit the manufacturer's website in order to download the driver that is compatible with your OS. After you installed the appropriate driver, you will be able to use the camera again.
